What happens if you send an SMS message to a temporarily absent number?

In most cases, messages sent to a temporarily absent number (i.e., DLR error 2) will be placed in the Retry Scheme.

If the first delivery attempt is unsuccessful, tyntec automatically retries the messages up to six times. The intervals between the retries are dynamically calculated based on the total message validity (which is 48 hours by default). The exact number of retries and the duration between retries depend on several parameters, including error type and message validity.
