How are PIN codes for 2FA generated?

tyntec creates the PIN code (also known as OTP – one-time password). By default the code is four digits, but can be expanded to 10 digits through tyntec’s API. By default, OTPs expire in five minutes, but this can also be configured to extend or shorten the expiration time.

If a PIN code/OTP expires during a workflow in progress, a new PIN/OTP will be generated. This means that the old PIN is no longer valid. Any future verification checks for this request will need to use the new PIN/OTP.
