  • Why does tyntec charge monthly fees for WhatsApp Business?

    tyntec charges monthly fees to cover costs related to configuring, setting up, hosting and maintaining your WhatsApp Business Account. We do NOT charge setup fees.

     

    Also, tyntec's monthly fees include unlimited session messages per active contact, which gives you the opportunity to leverage a package without worrying about transactional costs.

     

    To enable companies of various sizes and pockets to use WhatsApp, we have three monthly plans that you can choose from, each with differentiated benefits and features:

    • Starter: EUR 89, incl. unlimited session messaging for 1000 active contacts. Additional contact charged at EUR 0.09
    • Growth: EUR 169, incl. unlimited session messaging for 3500 active contacts. Additional contact charged at EUR 0.05
    • Enterprise: EUR 299, incl. unlimited session messaging for 6000 active contacts. Additional contact charged at EUR 0.03

     

  • What are message templates and how are they priced?

    When you initiate a conversation with your users, you will need to use Message Templates. These templates must be pre-approved by WhatsApp. With Message Templates you can send notifications, updates, reminders, and more. In addition to text, images and PDFs are available as media message templates.

     

    Message Templates are charged as follows:

    • WhatsApp charges on a per message basis. Check WhatsApp Pricing Fees.
    • tyntec does not charge on a per message basis. Rather, we charge per active contact. When you send a Message Template, the recipient count as one contact of your active contacts included in your chosen package (Starter, Growth, Enterprise).

     

    In case you message more contacts as included in your chosen package, tyntec charges an additional fee per active contact.

  • What are session messages and how are they priced?

    Session (or chat) messages are triggered by a contact response to your WhatsApp Business Profile or when the contact initiates a conversation with the company. In both scenarios, the ’24-hour support window’ opens, allowing companies and contacts to communicate without the need of a templated message.

     

    During this timeframe, WhatsApp does not charge any fees. Also, the session messages exchanged are included in your tyntec package for a certain amount of active contacts, therefore there’s no extra message fee charged for session messages, either sent or received.

     

    You can virtually exchange as many messages with your contacts as you like.

     

    The only fee that may be charged extra is if you message more contacts than what your package already includes. If that happens, tyntec will charge you an additional fee per active contact determined by the package you chose.

  • What’s an active contact and how are they charged?

    Active Contact is an end user that has exchanged (received or sent) at least 1 message on WhatsApp in a given month. You can exchange ‘unlimited session messages’ per active contact.

     

    Each price plan has a certain amount of monthly active contacts included:

    • Starter: 1000 monthly active contacts
    • Growth: 3500 monthly active contacts
    • Enterprise: 6000 monthly active contacts

     

    In case you have communicated with more active contacts in a given month than what’s included in your chosen package, we charge an additional fee per active contact:

    • Starter: EUR 0.09 per monthly active user
    • Growth: EUR 0.05 per monthly active user
    • Enterprise: EUR 0.03 per monthly active user

     

  • Can upgrade / downgrade my plan?

    While you can always upgrade your plan at any time, downgrading your plan depends on the subscription terms of your existing package.

     

    For example, if you currently have the Growth plan, which has a minimum subscription of 6 months, you can downgrade it to Starter after your minimum subscription has run out. With Enterprise, which has a minimum subscription of 12 months, the same principle applies.

  • How can I see how many monthly active contacts have been used?

    All of your financial reports will be based on monthly active contacts and can be found on your tyntec account.

  • Will I be charged VAT?

    Customers outside of the EU and United Kingdom are not charged VAT. While customers in the EU and the United Kingdom need to provide us their VAT number to avoid having VAT applied to their invoice.

     

    Customers who are VAT-registered in the United Kingdom are subject to a domestic reverse charge as per (VAT Act 1994 Section 55). Customer accounts to HMRC for the reverse charge output tax on the VAT exclusive price of items. Customers who are VAT registered in Europe, excluding the United Kingdom, are subject to reverse charge (per Art. 196, 6. EU-Directive).

  • How can I pay my tyntec invoice?

    This is how you can pay your invoice

    • You can pay your invoice on my.tyntec.com, and also top up your credits to send WhatsApp messages. Just proceed to “Finance” and then “Online Payments”. Please note that we do not collect money automatically.
    • Alternatively, pay your invoice via bank transfer (details are in every invoice).

     

    ℹ️ WhatsApp invoices are due after 15 days post payment by default, for both direct enterprises and ISV partners.

  • How does tyntec charge for Viber Business Messages?

    There’s no monthly or setup fee with Viber Business by tyntec. You only pay for the messages you send.

  • How can I test Viber Business Messages via tyntec?

    Generally, you can test Viber in your first month of use, avoiding the required minimum monthly spend.

     

    To make use of a full month, we recommend that you setup your Viber account by the end of a calendar month and we can active it in the beginning of the following month. This way, you have about a full month to get familiar with the platform without committing to the monthly minimum spend.

     

    ℹ️ tyntec also provides you 100 messages for free in your first month.

  • How do I request a Viber account with tyntec?

    To start with Viber Business Messages with tyntec, you can fill out our Viber setup form

     

    Once you’ve completed it, you’ll receive a confirmation and we’ll integrate it onto Viber’s system. We promptly let you know once your account has been setup.

     

    In case your account request has been rejected – which is very rare – we will let you know the reasons why. When this happens, usually it is due to missing or incorrect information. Once your account and serviceIDs have been configured, you can start sending messages to your users.

  • Is it possible to migrate from one Viber provider to another?

    Yes, it is possible. Viber supports the transfer of a business already registered under another provider (active or inactive), as well as the migration of existing ID from one partner to another.

     

    To perform this migration, the following conditions shall apply:

    • Viber enables up to 30 transfers of businesses per year, with at least 30 days advance written notice. Such transfers shall only take place at the beginning of a quarter.
    • The Business transfer will be done subject to both Customer (Business) and existing Partner’s written approval.

  • Can I request different messaging services in one account?

    Viber Business Messages provides customers with the following messaging services:

    • One-way: Companies send out messages; users cannot reply.
    • Two-way: Companies start the conversation and users can reply, allowing for deeper interactions.
    • Sessions: Users initiate the conversation with companies.

     

    For both 'one-way' or 'two-way', you can choose between 'transactional' (e.g. appointment reminders, shipping updates) and/or 'promotional' (e.g. coupons, discounts, etc.). Please note that transactional and promotional message pricing varies, being that promotional is usually more expensive. 

     

    Each of these messaging services can be ordered separately – which trigger an unique serviceID. Even when a company orders more than one service, these are all connected with the same Business Page. Your serviceIDs will also be tyntec-specific.

     

    ℹ️ Note that if you have multiple services associated with your Profile, the monthly minimum spend is associated with your requested services. That means, if you choose 'Two-way' and 'Sessions', your monthly minimum spend applies for each.
