GT
The GT or Global Title is an address used in the
SS7
protocol for routing signaling messages on telecommunications networks. It can be thought of in a similar way to the host name on the internet. It looks like a phone number but it is fixed to a piece of network equipment so it cannot be ported. The GT therefore allows companies to always identify the network.
