Delivery Notifications

Delivery Notifications
SMS delivery notifications are value-added, instant delivery information of a sent SMS message. These can take the format of:
Standard delivery receipt, or DLR, which can be sourced directly from the handset as soon as the message has been successfully delivered, depending on the depth level of connectivity an SMS provider has.
Buffered Notifications, which informs the customer with reason for an unsuccessful delivery after the first delivery attempt by providing the GSM Return Code. The Buffered Notification is sent in the format of a
Delivery Receipt (DLR)
.
Additionally tyntec provides
GSM Return Codes
, which give the status of messages sent but not delivered, giving reasons why a message has not been delivered. This might have different reasons such as:
The
SIM card
of the subscriber is full and cannot receive additional messages.
The mobile phone is off or it is not reachable, e.g. there is no network coverage.
The subscriber has no credits.
The subscriber's SIM card is invalid.
tyntec provides instant delivery notifications sourced directly from the handset, including
Delivery Receipts (DLRs)
,
GSM Return Codes
and
Buffered Notifications
.
