tyntec announces tt.One solution for seamless telecom and web integration

New product package enables Cloud telephony services across a wide range of business applications

MUNICH/LONDON, - December 1, 2011 – Mobile interaction specialist tyntec is today rolling out its new tt.One package in the UK and Germany. tt.One enables telecommunications in the cloud, providing businesses with the tools to easily integrate mobile telephony services such as voice, SMS and mobile numbers into online services, smartphone apps, social networks, blogs and much more.

tt.One is designed to simplify the complexities currently involved in integrating telecoms services into a web environment. The multiplicity of different operators and standards in the telecoms world has long made integration with IP-based services a time-consuming and complex process. Based on tyntec’s technology infrastructure and regulatory experience, tt.One enables the technologies of the internet and telco worlds to work together seamlessly.

tt.One offers clients such as social networks, app developers, enterprises, online service providers and mobile operators IP-compatible, globally-reachable, virtual mobile numbers that enable the transmission of voice and SMS. These virtual numbers enjoy widespread consumer acceptance and are more cost effective and simpler to set up and operate than short codes.

There are a broad range of applications for tt.One

•  tt.One can enable a ‘One Number’ solution, allowing businesses  to offer end users a single, web-based phone number to converge multiple phone numbers to simplify communications.

•  tt.One’s virtual mobile numbers can be integrated into social networking services to increase and facilitate interpersonal and brand interaction via SMS and voice messages.

•  tt.One’s SMS and voice enabled virtual numbers can be deployed in multi-channel advertising and customer communications channels, allowing for end user flexibility and accurate campaign tracking.

•  tt.One virtual numbers can be used to facilitate anonymous communication, a potentially huge market in fields such as virtual dating and social networking.

An increasing demand for simplicity in cloud telephony services

tyntec’s tt.One solution is already being used by US text messaging giant Pinger, now considered the 7th largest carrier of SMS in the US. Pinger offers a free text app for iPod touch, iPhone, iPad and Android which handles over 1.6 billion SMS messages per month in the US. Pinger chose tyntec’s tt.One solution to power its SMS Free service for its European launch in Germany. tt.One assigns Pinger users with unique mobile numbers and handles all incoming and outgoing mobile messages. tt.One will also be used to enable Pinger’s new voice app Pinger DE for its European launch in Germany later this month.

Michael Kowalzik, CEO of tyntec, said, “tt.One is about making it easy for anyone to integrate telecoms services in the cloud. It can power a converged one-number cloud communications solution or it can enable simple online mobile marketing services. What is key is that it removes the need for service providers to deal with hundreds of operators and complex, proprietary formats and standards.

“With the rise of VoIP, social networks and messaging apps, there is clear trend towards internet telephony coupled with the desire to be able to use these simply and reliably across different platforms and devices whilst on the move. tt.One is a flexible solution that is aimed at this exciting new marketplace in which business opportunities for internet companies, enterprises and operators are developing on a daily basis.”

As operators look for new business models to enable them to participate and benefit from the shift towards internet telephony, tt.One provides them with a chance to grab a share of the ‘internet and social media pie.’ Using tyntec’s tt.One solution, operators have the opportunity to become integrated into this area by providing mobile connectivity of universal services to the internet realm.

tyntec’s tt.One solution is available in Germany and is being rolled out in the UK to selected customers. It will become widely available in early 2012. The rollout of the service in the UK and Germany marks the beginning of tyntec’s plans to offer the solution throughout Europe and North America during the course of 2012, including but not limited to Italy, Spain, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Finland, USA and Canada.
