Active participation in industry-wide development

tyntec is an active member of key industry associations and helps to drive industry-wide innovations, technology and regulation. We hold memberships in a number of associations such as the GSM Association, IATA, 160 Characters and RIPE. 


GSM Association

The GSM Association is the global trade association that exists to promote, protect and enhance the interests of more than 690 GSM mobile operators globally. Founded in 1987 by 15 operators committed to the joint development of a cross border digital system for mobile communications, the Association's members now provide mobile services to over 1.6 billion customers across more than 213 countries and territories around the world.

RIPE NCC

The RIPE NCC is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation that supports the infrastructure of the Internet through technical co-ordination in its service region. The most prominent activity of the RIPE NCC is to act as the Regional Internet Registry (RIR) providing global Internet resources and related services (IPv4, IPv6 and AS Number resources) to members in the RIPE NCC service region. The membership consists mainly of Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunication organisations and large corporations located in Europe, the Middle East and parts of Central Asia.

160characters is a not-for-profit membership association supporting & promoting the mobile messaging industry. The mission of the organization is to support and promote the entire value network of the global mobile messaging industry through industry news and content, conferences and seminars and networking events.

ITU-T

Launched in 1865, ITU-T gathers industry experts from around the world to define the global infrastructure of information and communication technologies. The goal of ITU-T is to develop international telecommunication standards and level the playing field for small companies trying to enter new markets. ITU-T’s Recommendations have been instrumental in building the infrastructure and encouraging economic development of developing countries.
